Adam Charles Bad Wound is an award-winning writer, public speaker, social entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He holds a B.A.with double majors in multicultural studies and religion from St. Olaf College, M.A. in higher education from Columbia University, M.A. in education policy and M.A. in sociology from Stanford University.
Raised in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, he currently lives in San Francisco and is the Resource Development & Philanthropy Program Coordinator at the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University. He has also served on the advisory board of the Third Millennium Philanthropy and Leadership Initiative at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
His personal mission statement declares, "I believe in the power of knowledge and its capacity to liberate individuals and communities from social, religious, political and material oppression for the promotion of peace, freedom and equality. It is in pursuit of this belief that I persist – committed to integrity, justice, non-violence, service and sustainability."
